European Academy for Taxes, Economics & Law sets up the
“3rd International Annual Symposium EU Funds 2008 – ERDF, ESF, EAFRD, EFF“ on first experiences in the new programming period 2007-2013
Berlin, November 29th, 2007: How to efficiently use EU Funds to promote regions and projects will be discussed at the “3rd International Annual Symposium EU Funds 2008 of the European Academy for Taxes, Economics & Law from 17th till 19th of March 2008 in the Hotel Maritim in Berlin, Germany.
Since 2007 the circumstances of structural policy changed remarkably. The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Cohesion Fund have been given a new joint regulation. The European Agriculture Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the European Fisheries Fund (EFF) now run under new independent regulations. Today authorities face a lack of information; of what exactly is intended and how they can support projects to empower their regions.
In four panels on ERDF, ESF, EAFRD and EFF with interactive seminars, experts from the EU Commission, European Court of Auditors and national and regional authorities elucidate detailed information on each fund. Best practice case studies from different EU Member States demonstrate first experiences in the Member States on managing, approving and auditing EU funds. Experts and practitioners explain how to build up efficient administrative structures compliant to the expectations of the EU commission and the European Court of Auditors. Integrated question-and-answer sessions allow participants to pose their individual questions. With estimated 1000 attendees from all EU Member States the annual symposium is both a topic and social event.
This international annual symposium has been established for representatives of public authorities in all EU Member States, organisations and dealing with the managing, financing, approving and auditing of EU Funds and intermediate bodies.
